Random Act of Kindness Day
In an effort to stop bullying and promote Kindness, Jacobson Elementary will be hosting a “Random Acts of Kindness Day” during Anti-Bullying week. This gives students the opportunity to do something kind for another person and to build intrinsic motivation to do kind things for others. We hope that completing an act of kindness will help students choose this behavior more often.
Bullying Awareness Week
Dear Jacobson Families,
If you haven’t heard, October is Bullying Awareness month. At Jacobson, October also meant learning about bullying in guidance class with me. We discuss everything from the definition of bullying, to how to help make bullying stop, and the different types of bullying. To supplement these lessons, Jacobson will be holding an ANTI-BULLYING WEEK from October 26-30. We have some projects planned that will not only bring awareness to the issue, but will give all kids the opportunity to participate in the movement to stop bullying.
