The open campus list for juniors and seniors is posted. It is up to you to check it and know whether or not you are allowed to leave. If you are on the list you have open campus opposite of PE only at this time. The OC applications were due last Friday- if you do not have them in by the end of the day today you will not be added to the list this time and you will wait until mid-term to receive open campus.
 

Each month teachers and staff nominate students in various categories to be the STUDENT OF THE MONTH. Congratulations to the following students on your accomplishments and keep up the good work:

Belmond-Klemme Junior Class is sponsoring a football tailgate supper from 5-6:30 THIS FRIDAY outside the football field!  For $6 you can get a chicken sandwich, burger, hot dog, or brat, chips, beans, dessert and drink!  Come out and support the BK after prom

ATTENTION JUNIORS: You must volunteer at at least 2 fundraising events throughout the school year in order to participate in prom.  There have already been opportunities over the summer to volunteer, but another opportunity is coming up this Friday, Sep. 2nd.  We are hosting a football tailgate from 5-6:30 and could use student help to serve and clean-up after.  If you are available to work at all, please let Mrs. Stein know this week (even if you have to come late). She will keep track of any and all events worked.

Just a reminder that all FFA members need to clean up after the Volleyball game tomorrow

Any junior high student wanting to go out for junior high student council must fill out an application and return it to the office by the end of the day on Wednesday, August 31st.

Attention all Freshmen! Are you interested in acting in a fall production or assisting with costumes, makeup, or other committees? Then come to Thespian Freshmen Orientation on Monday, August 29th, starting at 6:30 pm in the student center. Any questions, please see Mr. Howell.

Football managers needed, please see Coach Christensen today.  They will be treated extra nicely!
 
Any student taking a college class needs to meet in the library tomorrow (Friday) at noon for a short meeting.
 
The first FFA meeting will be next Wednesday, August 31st, at 7:15 am in the Ag room.

Med Term 1 students you DO have class today in Mr. Hildebrand's room 7th and 8th periods.
 
There will be a Thespian meeting THIS FRIDAY morning at 7 AM for all sophomore, junior, and senior members. Make sure you are there for Leadership Elections.

The Clarion Goldfield sports booster will be serving their annual tailgate meal this Friday night beginning at 6 pm at the South Entrance to the football field.  Pork Loin sandwich, chips, cookie, and a drink for $5.  Come and support the athletes.  
 
Athletes: If you need to ride the sports shuttle make sure you sign up in the office before 1:00 pm

First Day of School 8/23/16

JH football will meet after school in the cafeteria. We will be handing out pads and equipment. 

 

Junior High Cross Country:  Meet today in the student center immediately after school for a quick meeting.  Practice will start tomorrow.  

 

Any Junior High girls who are interested in Volleyball, please stop in the student center after school to grab some information.  Practice will start tomorrow.  

 

There will be no Med term 1 today, it starts Thursday in Mr. Hildebrand's room.

Any student who took Public Speaking through NIACC needs to check and make sure they turned in their book. Mrs. Kozisek is missing 2 books.

Mr. Cross and Mrs. Barkela are making lunch for the seniors on Friday- come to the shop during your normal lunch time! 

Seniors, you need to stop in the office and pick up a sign out sheet. This must be completed and turned in on your last day.

Attention: All juniors, we will be decorating for Prom starting on Monday, April 18th, from 4 - 8 pm. in the auditorium. Please show up and help decorate after school!

Any senior interested in a summer internship with Wright County Secondary Roads needs to see Mrs. Kozisek for more information. 

Any student planning on taking a PSEO next year needs to see Mrs. Kozisek to sign up for those classes.

KLMJ Senior Spotlights will air next Wednesday, April 20th, at 3:30 pm. KLMJ Radio is on 104.9 and online at radioonthego.com. ;

Prom goers if you wish to have your picture taken during the Prom Dance, you can pick up order forms outside of Mrs. Blomme's door. 

BK Schools and the Belmond Chamber will be sponsoring  E-Recycling and City Wide Cleanup Days On Friday, April 29th 8-4 pm and Saturday April 30th  9-3 pm!  Look for posters and announcements on our Facebook page!

The yearbook committee will be running a sales promotion next week: Anyone who buys a yearbook next week, April 11th- 15th, can budge in the lunch line!

Juniors and Seniors who are going to the career fair tomorrow will be released at 8:45 AM. Please dress accordingly. You are representing the school and talking to employers. Dress as you would for game day
