2017-2018 Choir Leadership Council Leadership Positions and Applications

Those interested in applying for a CLC Leadership Position should read all position descriptions and requirements below and fill out the Google form to apply.

Leadership positions will be chosen by Mr. Howell based on their responses to their application and current standing in the choir (Grade, Behavior, Work Ethic etc.)  There will be officers chosen for each choir.

Leadership Position Descriptions
President
Job duties may include:
  • Taking attendance at rehearsals, concerts and other events
  • Being the main communication between Mr. Howell and other choir members
  • Encouraging and holding your choir accountable to expectations (i.e. reminding them of assignments due, reminding them of concert info, etc.)
  • Assisting substitute when Mrs. Howell isn't there
  • Working with other CLC members to plan events pertaining to choir (i.e. Pre-All State, choir social gatherings, Veterans Day, Memorial Day, Concerts etc.)
  • Assisting with show choir costume fittings
  • Assisting with concert choir attire fitting, distribution and check in
  • Complete any other duties Mr. Howell deems necessary for the success of the BK Choir Program
Vice-President
Job duties may include:
  • Planning a minimum of two social events a semester (must have approval at least two weeks prior to the event from Mr. Howell)
  • Taking pictures at choir events (such as Pre-All State, All Concerts, Choir Socials etc.) and email them to both Mr. Howell and Trish for website and Facebook Updating.
  • Working with other CLC members to plan events pertaining to choir (i.e. Pre-All State, choir social gatherings, Veterans Day, Memorial Day, Concerts etc.)
  • Assisting with show choir costume fittings
  • Assisting with concert choir attire fitting, distribution and check in
  • Complete any other duties Mr. Howell deems necessary for the success of the BK Choir Program.
Secretary/ Music Librarian
Job duties may include:
  • File loose music and maintain organization of music library
  • Add music to electronic library catalog
  • Keeping track of folder numbers, Number and distribute new music, collect music,
  • Tabulate fees or fines for missing music
  • Working with other CLC members to plan events pertaining to choir (i.e. Pre-All State, choir social gatherings, Veterans Day, Memorial Day, Concerts etc.)
  • Assisting with show choir costume fittings
  • Assisting with concert choir attire fitting, distribution and check in
  • Complete any other duties Mr. Howell deems necessary for the success of the BK Choir Program.

Marketing Chair
Job duties may include:
  • Creating all announcements pertaining to choir, including (but not limited to) announcements for upcoming Choir Concerts, Auditions, Fundraisers, and getting them approved in the main office
  • Spearheading recruitment efforts
  • Emailing Trish notifying her of choir events to put on Facebook and inviting student body to events
  • Working with other CLC members to plan events pertaining to choir (i.e. Pre-All State, choir social gatherings, Veterans Day, Memorial Day, Concerts etc.)
  • Assisting with show choir costume fittings
  • Assisting with concert choir attire fitting, distribution and check in
  • Complete any other duties Mr. Howell deems necessary for the success of the BK Choir Program
  • Spearheading fundraising efforts
Requirements for applying for positions...
- President (Minimum of one year in choir. Must be a Junior or Senior)
- Vice President (Minimum of one year in choir.)
- Secretary/ Music Librarian (Minimum of one year in choir)
- Marketing Chair (Minimum of one year in choir)
