Week 1:
We will cover the expected rules, classroom procedures, Golden Shoe behavior game, dress code, and locker room expectations. Students K-4 will be expected to bring a pair of gym shoes to P.E.. These shoes will be kept in their hallway locker and they will change into them before P.E.. 5th and 6th grade students are expected to bring gym shirts, shorts, and sneakers. They will have 5 minutes before class to change and 5-7 minutes after to get ready for class. I will talk to the students about the importance of using deodorant. If the student decided he/she wants to shower after P.E. please have them bring a towel and soap. We do have extra shoes, shirts, and shorts for the students if needed.

Golden Sneaker Behavior Game: The golden sneaker award is given each month to the classes with the most stickers. Stickers are awarded to classes who follow the Bronco Pride rules in P.E.. 6th, 5th,and 4th grade will be competing against each other while 3rd, 2nd, and 1st grade compete against each other. The classes with the most stickers at the end of the month will receive a free day, as well as a trophy that they can display in their classroom.

Quote Of The Day: Each day there will be a quote on the white board. Students will read the quote and think about what it means and how it applies to them. At the end of the class we will discuss the quote.

Classroom Procedure: Every day students will enter the classroom and read the quote. They will then walk 1 lap around the gym and then break off into their warm-up groups. There will be 4 stations 1. pull-ups/push-ups 2. sit-ups 3. running 4. jumping jacks. Students will have 45 seconds at each station. Once the warm-ups are over students will meet at the center circle for directions.

Team Bonding Games: At the end of the class this week the students will be playing team bonding games. This will help the students get comfortable with their classmates and hopefully build up some trust in each other.

Please feel free to contact me at any time if you have any questions on what the students are doing in P.E. this week.
